The location was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful greenery and with a charming village nearby. the staff were friendly and helpful, providing information on walks and hikes in the Peak District. the hostel had a great kitchen facility with multiple fridges, cookers, and other equipment, making it easy to prepare meals. the free WiFi was a bonus, although it could be a bit temperamental.
The limited parking spaces, although street parking was available. Another issue was the check-in closing at 10pm, so it's important to arrive before then.

We had a truly exceptional stay in the beautiful peak district. the hotel was located in a separate building called the barn and it was just perfect for us. the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with ensuite bathrooms. the staff were friendly and provided excellent service. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the food was top-notch. the views from the grounds were breathtaking and we loved exploring the surrounding area. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.
The self catering kitchen was a bit small for the number of people.

I had a great stay at Yha Hartington Hall for three nights as a solo traveler. The triple room I booked had a lovely view of the front garden and a convenient en-suite shower. The catering facilities in the courtyard were pristine, and I enjoyed the availability of board games. The bar offered good value basic food, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The village itself was charming, with plenty of local walks and the beautiful River Dove. Polly's tea shop in Milldale was a delightful treat, as was the food at the Devonshire Arms. a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room we stayed in was spacious and had enough room to accommodate all of our belongings. We especially appreciated the drying room, which came in handy after getting caught in the rain. The staff were excellent and provided great service throughout our stay. They were knowledgeable and friendly, making us feel welcome. the location was perfect for exploring the Peak District, offering beautiful scenery and a great base for outdoor activities.
The breakfast was not up to par. The meat and vegan sausages were dry and the plastic white bread rolls were not enjoyable.
